In today's video you going to see me give a relaxing pedicure with perfect polishing techniques and instructions at the end, I did my best to edit out our voices and leave in the natural ASMR sounds like clipping and sea salt scrub. Over the years I have gotten comments and requests about ASMR and wasn’t aware of what that meant. I have come to learn there are different triggers for ASMR and the natural sounds and watching the detailed steps during a pedicure is a few of them for some people.
Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a calming, pleasurable feeling often accompanied by a tingling sensation. This tingle is said to originate in a person's head and spread to the spine (and sometimes the limbs) in response to stimulation. The stimuli that trigger ASMR vary from person to person. I am happy people are utilizing my videos for relaxation as well as a learning tool :)
The most important step to every perfect polishing application is to clean the oils and moisture off nail plate off thoroughly with cotton and acetone, concentrate on the perimeter of the. Nail and free edge.

The next technique I use to keep my clients polish on for months is to apply two coats of base coat I am slowing down this clip to explain how to scoot the bristles up and back while pressing down to manipulate the bristles on the brush to spread out and cover more of the nail to ensure the base coat is applied very thin.
When the base coat is applied in this way it is almost all the way dry by the time you come back to apply the next layer. The same technique will be used when I apply the color to the nail.
I'm using Pompei Purple and Happy Anniversary by OPI. One of my mottos when doing nails is “the slower you go the faster you will be done”. It only takes me about 5 minutes to polish someone's nails. Going slower but covering more of the nail plate by fanning out the bristles allows the polish to dry quickly allowing me to apply the next coat right away.
